Well, I made it unscathed. Not the situation for others. There was a lot of beautiful old trees falling onto beautiful old houses, not to mention a large crane dropped on its newly minted project ( I cannot imagine what the developer is feeling). Any Tim’s with power had line-ups for miles while gas stations went dry. As all was going on, I could not help but notice how much we rely on delivered food, delivered gasoline, but mostly, our power energy. Power is what keeps us all from drowning in sewage as well as most of our water needs along with the ability to cook, clean and keep warm. We are surely a dependent species, and I wonder if we should be changing this. At the end of the day, no life was lost and the people of NS are out with chainsaws and spirit, making it all right again.
